JUNKSTER
MATERIALS

One particularly important material I worked on for Junkster was the environment material. This allowed us to create an expansive environment kit using relatively flat textures with noise layered over the top. The main benefit of this was being able to cut up and stitch together parts of the textures in a mesh's UVs without worrying about seams.

Another material I worked on, or rather a function we used in many materials, was the Colour Palette Picker. This gave us the ability to change colours within a material on an mesh-instance by mesh-instance basis, meaning that we did not need to create a large library of material instances in order to achieve the colour variety we wanted.
