The King of Carven Stone is a personal project in which I decided to revisit a much older project of mine and explore it with new eyes. Though much of the subject matter remained the same (being inspired in part by Tolkien's poem The King Under The Mountain), the results changed dramatically as I sought to implement the knowledge and skills I have honed over the years since the original piece.
Ultimately this was a fun project allowing me to stretch my legs in areas I have had little opportunity to as of late, particularly sculpting and PBR shaders.
